Sun Yat-sen, also known as Sun Zhongshan, was a Chinese revolutionary and political leader who played a crucial role in ending imperial rule and establishing the Republic of China. Often called the "Father of Modern China," he led efforts to overthrow the Qing Dynasty in the early 20th century and aimed to create a united, strong nation.
