Sun-Earth Lagrange Points

Lagrange points are special spots in space where the gravitational forces of the Sun and Earth, along with the orbital motion, create regions of balance. At these points, an object can stay relatively stable relative to both bodies without needing much fuel to hold its position. There are five such points around the Sun-Earth system, labeled L1 through L5. For example, L1 is a prime spot for solar observatories because they stay consistently between Earth and the Sun. These points are useful for positioning satellites and space missions that require stable locations in space.
