Sun-centered solar system
The Sun-centered solar system, known as the heliocentric model, places the Sun at the core, with planets orbiting around it. This concept replaced earlier ideas that Earth was at the center. The Sun’s gravity keeps the planets in their elliptical paths, from Mercury to Neptune. Each planet's distance from the Sun affects its orbit speed and climate. This model helps us understand the arrangement and motion of planets, moons, asteroids, and comets in our solar system, providing a clear framework for studying planetary behavior and movements.
