Sun Bear

The sun bear is a small bear species native to Southeast Asia, known for its short black fur and a distinctive orange or cream-colored patch on its chest that resembles a rising sun. It has a long, curved claw for climbing trees and foraging for food, which mainly includes insects, fruits, and honey. Sun bears are solitary and spend much of their time in dense forests. They play an important role in their ecosystems by helping disperse seeds and control insect populations. Due to habitat loss and poaching, they are currently classified as vulnerable.
