Sumatran Rhinoceros

The Sumatran rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis) is the smallest and one of the rarest rhino species, native to Southeast Asia. It has a thick, reddish-brown hair-covered skin and two small horns on its snout. Unlike other rhinos, it prefers dense mountain forests and is shy and reclusive. Due to habitat loss and poaching, its population has drastically declined, making it critically endangered. Conservation efforts are underway to protect this elusive creature and restore its habitat, aiming to prevent its extinction.
