Sumatran Rhino Rescue
Sumatran Rhino Rescue is a conservation effort aimed at saving the critically endangered Sumatran rhinoceros from extinction. Since their populations are extremely small and isolated, specialists capture remaining rhinos to protect them from poaching and habitat loss. They may relocate them to protected breeding centers, such as the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Indonesia, where scientists can monitor, care for, and breed them in controlled environments. The goal is to increase their numbers, preserve genetic diversity, and eventually reintroduce them into the wild to help restore their natural habitats and ensure their survival.
