Sumatran rhino

The Sumatran rhinoceros is a small, critically endangered species of rhinoceros native to Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia. It is the smallest of the living rhinos, with thick, armor-like skin and reddish-brown hair. Unlike other rhino species, it is solitary and elusive, often found in dense forests. Its population has declined sharply due to habitat loss and poaching for its horns. Currently, only a few individuals remain, making it one of the most threatened large mammals. Conservation efforts focus on habitat preservation and breeding programs to prevent its extinction.
