Suevi

The Suevi (or Suevians) were a Germanic tribe that migrated into what is now Spain and Portugal during late antiquity. They initially lived in central Europe but moved westward around the 4th and 5th centuries, eventually establishing their own kingdom in the Iberian Peninsula after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Their kingdom lasted into the 6th century before being absorbed by the Visigoths. The Suevi played a significant role in the history of early medieval Spain, contributing to the region's cultural and political development during this period.
