Sue (Tyrannosaurus rex)
Sue is one of the most complete and well-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons ever found, discovered in 1990 in South Dakota. She lived approximately 67 million years ago during the late Cretaceous period and was about 40 feet long and weighed around 9 tons. As a top predator, Sue had powerful jaws with large, serrated teeth capable of crushing bone, and small but strong forearms. Her discovery has provided scientists valuable insights into T. rex’s anatomy, growth, and behavior. Today, Sue is displayed at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, offering the public an impressive glimpse into the world of this ancient predator.
