Succession of Leadership in Baha'i Faith

In the Baha’i Faith, leadership succession is distinct and emphasizes a system of consultation and spiritual authority rather than a single leader. After the founder, Baha'u'llah, passed, leadership was passed to his son, Abdu’l-Baha, who guided the community until his death. This was followed by Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian, who interpreted Baha’i teachings. After his passing, the Universal House of Justice was established, providing collective leadership and decision-making. This body continues to guide the global Baha'i community, emphasizing unity, democracy, and the consultation process as core principles of governance.
