Subsea Cable Installation

Subsea cable installation involves laying high-capacity fiber optic or electrical cables on the ocean floor to enable global telecommunications and power transmission. The process begins with survey vessels mapping the seabed to identify the safest, most efficient route. Specialized ships then transport and precisely position the cables, which are carefully protected with coatings and armor to withstand underwater conditions. In some cases, the cables are buried beneath the seabed for protection. After laying, the cables are connected to land-based infrastructure, enabling fast internet, data transfer, and power distribution across continents.
