suborbital flights
Suborbital flights are journeys that send a vehicle briefly into space, reaching the edge of the Earth's atmosphere but not enough to enter orbit. These flights typically last a few minutes, allowing passengers to experience weightlessness and see the curvature of the Earth. The vehicle accelerates upward, coasts in near-space, and then returns to Earth. Unlike orbital flights, suborbital missions don’t require sustaining high speeds for long periods, making them more accessible for research, training, or tourism purposes. They provide a valuable and less complex step toward space exploration and commercial space travel.
