STS-47
STS-47 was a NASA space shuttle mission launched in September 1992 aboard the Endeavour spacecraft. Its main goal was to conduct scientific research, especially in life sciences and biotechnology, to better understand the effects of space on biological systems. The mission included two astronauts from Japan, marking the first time a Japanese astronaut flew aboard a space shuttle. Over nearly 9 days in orbit, crew members performed experiments on plants, cells, and humans. This mission contributed valuable data for future space exploration and helped advance biomedical research.
