Strong Customer Authentication
Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a security process used during online transactions to verify that the person making the payment is genuinely who they claim to be. It requires at least two of three verification methods: something the customer knows (like a password), something they possess (like a phone), or something they are (like a fingerprint). This reduces fraud and increases security for digital payments. Essentially, SCA ensures that payments are authorized by the real user, protecting both consumers and merchants from unauthorized transactions.
