Streaming Protocols

Streaming protocols are systems that enable the continuous transmission of multimedia content, like videos or music, over the internet. They divide the media into small data packets, which are sent sequentially to your device, allowing playback to start quickly and continue smoothly without needing to download the entire file first. These protocols manage how data is sent, ensure quality, handle errors, and adapt to varying internet speeds, providing a seamless viewing or listening experience. Examples include HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH), and Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP).
