Strattera
Strattera (atomoxetine) is a medication used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It works differently from stimulants because it increases the levels of norepinephrine, a brain chemical involved in attention and impulse control. Unlike stimulant medications, Strattera isn’t habit-forming and may have fewer side effects related to sleep and appetite. It usually takes several weeks to see improvements and is often prescribed when stimulant options are not suitable. Like all medications, it should be used under a healthcare provider’s guidance to monitor effectiveness and any potential side effects.
