The Strait of Bosporus is a narrow, natural waterway located in Turkey, connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. It acts as a vital maritime passage that links Eastern Europe and Western Asia, serving both commercial shipping routes and local transportation. The strait is approximately 31 kilometers (19 miles) long and about 700 meters (2,300 feet) wide at its narrowest point.
