Stockbridge-Munsee Community

The Stockbridge-Munsee Community is a federally recognized Native American tribe based in Wisconsin. It comprises descendants of the Mohican (Stockbridge) and Munsee peoples, who historically lived in the northeastern United States. The community manages the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians, operating its own government, tribal programs, and services. It owns and operates the Mohican Sun Indian Casino and other enterprises, and focuses on preserving its cultural heritage, language, and traditions. The tribe also advocates for its members' rights and economic development while maintaining its sovereignty within the United States.
