Sternum Tumors

Sternum tumors are abnormal growths that occur on or near the sternum, which is the flat bone in the center of the chest, commonly known as the breastbone. These tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and may arise from various tissues, including cartilage or bone. Symptoms can include pain in the chest area, swelling, or difficulty breathing, depending on the tumor's size and location. Diagnosis typically involves imaging tests and sometimes biopsies. Treatment options vary based on the tumor type and may include surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy.
