stereoscopy
Stereoscopy is a technique that creates the illusion of depth in an image by combining two slightly different pictures, each taken from a different angle corresponding to our eyes’ viewpoints. Our brain interprets these images, comparing the differences (disparities), to perceive the scene in three dimensions. This method is used in 3D movies, virtual reality, and specialized glasses, allowing us to experience a sense of spatial depth and realism. Essentially, stereoscopy mimics natural binocular vision, providing a more immersive and lifelike perception of the environment.
