Stereophonic sound
Stereophonic sound, or stereo, is a technique that uses two or more audio channels to create a sense of direction and space in sound. By playing different sounds through two speakers (left and right), it mimics how we naturally hear, allowing us to perceive the position and movement of sounds in a three-dimensional environment. This enhances listening experiences in music, movies, and recordings, making them feel more realistic and immersive. Essentially, stereo separates audio signals to give depth and spatial cues, enriching the way we perceive sound.
