Stephen Ward
Stephen Ward was a British osteopath and artist active in the mid-20th century. He became known for his social connections to influential figures in Britain and was involved in the controversial Profumo Affair of 1963, a political scandal that exposed illicit relationships between a government minister and a young woman. Ward hosted social gatherings frequented by politicians, military officers, and socialites. His involvement in these circles, coupled with accusations of misconduct related to the scandal, ultimately led to his arrest and tragic death by suicide. His role highlighted issues of societal privilege, secrecy, and scandal during that era.
