Stephanus
Stephanos of Byzantium was an ancient Greek scholar and grammarian from the 6th century AD who authored a notable geographic dictionary called "Ethnica," which compiled information about various places in the ancient Greek world. His work is important because it helps modern scholars understand how ancient Greeks viewed and described different regions. Though much of his original writing is lost, references to his work appear in later texts, making him a valuable source for studying ancient geography, culture, and history.
