Step 2 CS

Step 2 CS was a clinical skills exam for medical students, focusing on patient interactions and clinical reasoning. It involved simulated patient encounters where students demonstrated their ability to gather medical histories, perform physical exams, and communicate effectively. The goal was to assess competence in real-world doctor-patient interactions, including professionalism, empathy, and clinical judgment. This exam aimed to ensure students could reliably evaluate and manage patients before progressing to full medical practice. However, it was discontinued in 2021, replaced by other assessment methods to better reflect diverse clinical skills.
