Steer Wrestling

Steer wrestling, also known as bulldogging, is a rodeo sport where a cowboy on horseback is challenged to chase and bring down a steer. After the steer is released from the chute, the cowboy rides alongside, signals the steer to stop, then expertly dismounts onto the ground, steering the animal to the ground by grabbing its horns and using his weight. The goal is to quickly and safely bring the steer to a complete stop and lay it on its side, all within a set time. It tests the cowboy's agility, horsemanship, and control.
