Steam Injection

Steam injection is a thermal recovery method used in oil production, especially for heavy or viscous oils. It involves injecting high-temperature steam into an oil reservoir to heat the oil, reducing its viscosity and making it easier to flow toward production wells. This process enhances oil recovery by improving mobility and allowing the oil to be extracted more efficiently. Steam injection is commonly used in thermal EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) projects to maximize extraction from challenging reservoirs.
