STEADI initiative (Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths & Injuries)

The STEADI initiative, which stands for Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths & Injuries, is a program developed by the CDC to help health care providers assess and reduce fall risks among older adults. It offers tools and strategies to identify those at risk of falling, and provides advice on exercises, medications, and home modifications to improve balance and safety. The goal is to prevent falls, which are a leading cause of injury and death among seniors, enabling older adults to stay healthy, independent, and active in their communities.
