statistical population
A statistical population is the complete set of individuals, objects, or events that share a specific characteristic and about which we want to learn or make decisions. For example, if studying the average height of adult women in a country, the population includes all adult women in that country. It can be very large or small, but it represents everything we're interested in analyzing. Researchers often collect data from a smaller group called a sample to make inferences about the entire population, saving time and resources while still gaining meaningful insights.
