Statistical Mean
The statistical mean, commonly called the average, is a way to find the central value of a set of numbers. To calculate it, add all the numbers together and then divide that total by how many numbers there are. This gives a single value that summarizes the data, helping to understand the overall trend or typical value within the group. The mean is useful for comparing different sets of data and identifying general patterns, but it can be affected by extremely high or low values known as outliers.
