Statewide Independent Living Council

The Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) is a body of individuals dedicated to promoting independence and community integration for people with disabilities. It develops and oversees a plan to ensure accessible services, supports, and resources across the state. SILC advises government agencies, advocates for policy changes, and collaborates with local organizations to improve opportunities for disabled individuals to live, work, and participate fully in society. Its goal is to empower persons with disabilities to lead more autonomous and fulfilling lives by shaping policies that remove barriers and foster inclusive communities.
