State Terrorism

State terrorism refers to actions taken by a government or its agents to instill fear, control populations, or suppress dissent through violent or coercive means. This can include systemic persecution, torture, assassinations, and other forms of brutality directed at civilians or political opponents. While the state typically deploys these tactics to maintain power and enforce its ideologies, they often violate human rights and international law. Unlike non-state terrorism, which involves groups outside formal government control, state terrorism is officially sanctioned and executed by recognized authorities or organizations.
