State quarters program

The State Quarters Program was a U.S. Mint initiative launched in 1999, aiming to honor each of the 50 states by releasing a unique quarter design for each one. Each coin featured symbols or images representing the state’s history, culture, or landmarks. The program ran until 2008 and included a new state coin every ten weeks. It encouraged coin collection and engagement with state heritage, making it popular among both collectors and the general public. This initiative successfully raised awareness about the individual states and fostered a sense of national pride.
