State Guard
A State Guard is a military organization authorized by a state government to support and assist in emergencies, disasters, and other state-level needs. Unlike the National Guard, which can be federalized and sent overseas, State Guards operate solely within their state and focus on homeland defense, disaster response, and public safety. They are composed of trained personnel who can be called upon during crises to help maintain order, provide aid, and support civil authorities. Essentially, the State Guard acts as a supplementary force, enhancing the state's ability to respond to various emergencies.
