Starobinsky Model

The Starobinsky Model is a theory of the early universe that explains how it rapidly expanded, or "inflated," right after the Big Bang. It proposes that gravity itself was modified by adding a term related to the square of the curvature of spacetime. This change caused the universe to grow exponentially in a very short time, smoothing out any irregularities and setting the stage for the universe we observe today. The model aligns well with observations of cosmic microwave background radiation and provides a compelling explanation for the universe's initial rapid expansion.
