Star Formation Theory

Star formation theory explains how stars are born from dense regions within giant clouds of gas and dust in space, called molecular clouds. Under gravity, parts of these clouds collapse and clump together, heating up as they compress. When the core of a collapsing region becomes hot and dense enough, nuclear fusion begins, creating a new star. Over time, the surrounding material clears away, revealing the shining star. This process can take millions of years and is influenced by factors like gravity, turbulence, and nearby stars, shaping the diversity of stars we observe in the universe.
