star formation regions
Star formation regions are dense clouds of gas and dust in space, called molecular clouds, where new stars are born. Under gravity, parts of these clouds collapse and heat up, eventually reaching temperatures that allow nuclear fusion to start, creating new stars. These regions often contain glowing nebulae, which are illuminated by nearby stars and reflect light off dust particles. They can span many light-years and are filled with ongoing activity, including the formation of star clusters. Essentially, these are the cosmic nurseries where the process of star creation takes place.
