Stanton, Elizabeth Cady
Elizabeth Cady Stanton was a pioneering American suffragist and social reformer in the 19th century. She played a key role in advocating for women's rights, including women’s suffrage, equality, and legal rights. Stanton co-organized the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention, the first major meeting calling for women's rights in the United States. She also authored important documents like the Declaration of Sentiments, which outlined the injustices women faced. Her efforts helped lay the groundwork for the women's rights movement, and she remains a significant figure in American history for advancing gender equality.
