Stanley Pons

Stanley Pons is an American electrochemist known for his controversial work in nuclear fusion. In 1989, he and his colleague Martin Fleischmann claimed to have achieved cold fusion—a form of nuclear fusion that occurs at room temperature—using a simple setup with palladium and heavy water. Their announcement generated significant excitement but faced skepticism due to the lack of reproducible results.
