Standard playing cards

Standard playing cards consist of 52 cards divided into four suits: hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Each suit has 13 cards: numbers 2 through 10, and four face cards—jack, queen, king—and an Ace. The suits differ in color and symbol: hearts and diamonds are red, representing the flush of colors, while clubs and spades are black, often associated with the more traditional suits. These cards are used for various games, gambling, and magic tricks, and their design and symbolism have cultural and historical significance worldwide.
