stalls

In aviation, stalls occur when an airplane's wings no longer generate enough lift to stay airborne, often because the airflow over the wings becomes disrupted. This typically happens when the aircraft’s angle of attack—the tilt of the wings relative to the oncoming air—is too high. When a stall occurs, the plane may feel like it's losing altitude or becoming difficult to control, but pilots can usually correct it by lowering the nose to restore smooth airflow over the wings. Stalls are a normal part of flight training and are usually preventable with proper handling.
