Stalag VII-A
Stalag VII-A was a German prisoner-of-war camp during World War II, located near the town of Moosburg in Germany. It primarily held Allied soldiers, including Americans, British, and others captured in combat. The camp was large and organized, designed to intern thousands of soldiers securely. Over time, it became one of the most significant POW camps in Germany, housing prisoners under the Geneva Convention standards, though conditions varied. After the war, it was liberated by Allied forces, and the site today serves as a memorial and museum, reflecting on the experiences and resilience of the prisoners.
