Stacks Blockchain

Stacks Blockchain is a platform that enables developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts that are secured by the Bitcoin network. Unlike traditional blockchains, Stacks operates on top of Bitcoin, leveraging its security and stability. It uses a unique consensus mechanism called Proof of Transfer (PoX), which links Stacks’ operations to Bitcoin’s network. This integration allows for more secure, scalable, and user-friendly blockchain applications without needing to change Bitcoin itself. Essentially, Stacks extends Bitcoin's utility by adding programmable features while maintaining the security of the Bitcoin blockchain.
