St. Maximus the Confessor

St. Maximus the Confessor was a 7th-century Christian monk and theologian known for his deep insights into Christ’s nature and the soul. He emphasized that Jesus is both fully divine and fully human, and that the human person can achieve unity with God through spiritual transformation. Maximus defended the Church against teachings that denied Christ's true humanity or divinity, and he believed our ultimate goal is to participate in God's divine life.
