
St. John the Evangelist (saint)
Saint John the Evangelist, traditionally considered the author of the Gospel of John, the three Epistles of John, and Revelation, is one of Jesus’ twelve apostles. Often called “the beloved disciple,” he is recognized for his deep spiritual insight and close relationship with Jesus. He emphasized love and faith, portraying Jesus as the divine Word and emphasizing the importance of divine truth. Saint John played a vital role in early Christianity, spreading Jesus' teachings and inspiring faith through his writings. He is venerated as a patron saint of love, loyalty, and authorship, with his feast day celebrated on December 27.
