St. John of Acre

St. John of Acre was a medieval Crusader knight and the last leader of the Knights Hospitaller’s holdings in the Holy Land. He was involved in the defense of Christian territories during the 13th century and played a key role in resisting Muslim advances. After the fall of Acre in 1291, the Crusaders lost their remaining foothold in the Holy Land. St. John of Acre is remembered for his leadership and efforts to protect Christian interests during a turbulent period of the Crusades.
