St. Bede

St. Bede, also known as the Venerable Bede, was an Anglo-Saxon monk from England who lived in the 7th and 8th centuries. He is best known for his scholarly work, especially "The Ecclesiastical History of the English People," which provides an important record of early Britain’s Christian history. Bede was a skilled historian, theologian, and linguist who helped preserve and organize knowledge during his time. His contributions earned him the title "Venerable" and recognition as one of the greatest scholars of the early medieval period, greatly influencing the study of history and Christianity in England.
