Srikrishna Commission

The Srikrishna Commission was set up by the Indian government in 1991 to investigate the causes and events surrounding the Bombay (Mumbai) riots that occurred earlier that year. The riots, which involved violent clashes between different communities, resulted in significant loss of life and property.
