Sri Ram Janmabhoomi
Sri Ram Janmabhoomi is a highly revered site in Ayodhya, India, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, a major deity in Hinduism. Historically, it was home to a Hindu temple dedicated to Rama, which was destroyed and replaced by a mosque called Babri Masjid in the 16th century. Over decades, claims and disputes over the land led to widespread tensions. In 2019, the Indian Supreme Court authorized the construction of a Hindu temple on the site, acknowledging its religious significance and resolving a long-standing conflict. The site remains a symbol of religious faith, cultural identity, and historical heritage for many Hindus.
