Sredny Stog culture
The Sredny Stog culture was an early Bronze Age society that existed around 4500–3500 BCE in the Pontic-Caspian steppe, located in what is now Ukraine and Russia. They were among the first to domesticate horses, which boosted their mobility and hunting abilities. This culture is significant because it shows early developments in metallurgy, pottery, and social organization. They likely practiced pastoralism, raising livestock, and engaging in trade with neighboring groups. Sredny Stog is considered an important precursor to later cultures that contributed to the formation of Indo-European peoples.
