Sporting Kansas City II, also known as Sporting KC II, is a professional soccer team based in Kansas City. It functions as a reserve team for the main Sporting Kansas City club, competing in the lower divisions of U.S. soccer to develop young players and give them professional experience. The team helps bridge the gap between youth academy and the first team, focusing on player growth and readiness for top-level competition. Sporting KC II plays home matches at Children's Mercy Park and serves as an important part of the club’s player development system within Major League Soccer (MLS).
